Individuals associated with the Charter for Compassion and Compassionate Fox Cities are actively exploring the formation of a regional effort to provide opportunities for individuals to develop skills and practice a commitment to the principles of compassionate communication. This effort will link individuals from the greater Oshkosh area with our counterparts in Neenah, Menasha and Appleton.
We have established a series of THREE meetings on the second Monday of the month during April, May and June, as noted below. All meetings will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center located within the Goodwill Facilities located at 1800 Appleton Road, Menasha.
The purpose of the three meetings will be to work and review ideas as outlined in Marshall Rosenberg's book, Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life. (The goal is to have the group of participants then make additional plans relating to the possible continuation of additional efforts -- perhaps study groups or other community presentations - to promote understanding relating to these general principles and ideas.)
There are a limited number of copies of USED books that are available for reference by members of the greater Oshkosh community with an interest in being a part of these three sessions.
To request a book for review or to express an interest in this initiative, please contact us by email: [email protected].
